Celebration in the Park

The D Day 80th Anniversary Celebration and Family Day at Wythall Park on Sunday June the 9th (from midday to midnight!) promises to be a fabulous day.
Lots and lots going on, including:
-
-
- 2pm – Wythall Community Choir
- 3pm – The Kings Norton Youth Marching Band
- 4pm – Cheswick Green Ukulele Orchestra
- 6pm – Salsa demonstration and free class
- 7.30pm – The Boogaloo Babes,
- Dobson’s Fair
- Exhibitions from Wythall History Society and Wythall Parish Council
- Vintage Buses from Wythall Transport Museum
- Tea and Cakes from Pearls of Wythall WI
-
… and finishing with one of our celebrated fireworks displays (9:30pm)!
Wythall Transport Museum will have vintage buses in the car park, Wythall History Society and Wythall Parish Council both have exhibitions in the Britannia Room, plus lots of food and craft stalls on the Park. And bars in Park Hall (from 3pm), the Britannia Room and The Community Club (from noon).
We also have Dobson’s fair to keep everyone entertained in between times!
We need volunteers (you must be over 18 years of age) to help marshal the event from noon (set up) through to 10pm (firework finish). You WILL NOT be security, you are just there to help visitors find their way around the Park, to ensure they don’t miss out on anything! Sign up for any shifts you can do, and those you can do ‘if pushed’. We promise not to take advantage of your good nature and will ‘spread the load’ of the shifts over all of the volunteers.
