Burns Night

Burns Night is Saturday 27^th January. Well, actually the 265^th anniversary of the great poet’s birth was yesterday, but we are celebrating on the Saturday.

We will have a fine range of whiskies on offer – single malts and blends from all corners of the globe. At 9pm John Eardley will ‘address the haggis’ in his native tongue prior to disembowelling it with a Sgian-dubh .

The haggis is not sacrificed in vain, and from 7pm we are serving a portions of haggis, neeps and tatties (veggie option available), together with a malt whisk(e)y for a mere £8! This needs to be pre-ordered (but paid for on the night) by emailing me (chairman@wythallcommunityclub.org.uk) or signing up on the form behind the bar.
