Wythall Beer Festival 2019

The 10th Anniversary of the Wythall Beer Festival will be held from Friday 4th to Saturday 5th October 2019.

Wythall Community Club Members Exclusive Night
Thursday 3rd October is open exclusively to WCC members only from 8pm to 10.30pm with no entry fee.  Please ensure your membership is up-to-date as this will be checked on entry.

2020 Ales

    1. Hop Back Slovenian Rhapsody – ABV 3.8%
      1. A pale golden ale brewed with an assortment of Slovenian hops, middling in bitterness with the emphasis on floral hop flavours, with some herbal notes.
    2. Downton German Pale Ale – ABV 4.2%
      1. Our popular GPA is a golden coloured pilsner-style ale with four varieties of German hops providing a clean bitterness and subtle fruity aroma. Hoppy and extremely drinkable.
    3. Mallinsons Brewery – ABV 4.0%
    4. Ossett Brewery White Rat – ABV 4.0%
      1. This very pale, hoppy ale made from low colour Maris Otter malt. A combination of three high alpha American hops produces an intensely aromatic & resinous finish. Winner of many festival awards.
    5. Dark Star American Pale Ale – ABV 4.7%
      1. Cascade, Centennial and Chinook hops. The low colour Maris Otter malt provides a perfect light colour and dryness to complement the crisp taste and full aroma of the hops. SERIOUSLY FULL OF HOPS.
    6. Pheasantry Brewery Cask Pilsner – ABV 3.9%
      1. Czech malt and European hops combine to create this lager style beer.
    7. Abbeydale Dr Morton Bag O’ Nuts – ABV 4.1%
      1. The beer is brewed with the famous Cascade hop, which pack a wonderful floral/lemon balm aroma. Citrus and Grapefruit flavours continue to dominate, while the Columbus hops round the palate off with a herbal/pine needle freshness.
    8. The Pig Brewery Equinox – ABV 3.8%
    9. Black Sheep Monty Pythons Flying Circus – ABV 4.5%
    10. Castle Rock Preservation Fine Ale – ABV 4.1%
      1. Brewed to the traditional East Midlands style, Preservation is a mid-brown/reddish easy drinking full flavoured best bitter. Well rounded with some residual sweetness and balanced with a resinous hop character. A hugely popular beer that deserves to be savoured!
    11. Oakham Ales Athena – ABV 4.4%
      1. This golden, well balanced, fruity beer has an excellent mouth fee and is very easy drinking.

    13. Wye Valley Kaleidoscope – ABV 5.0%
      1. Dry-hopped and aromatic, this ale features a blend of hops from New Zealand and a mesmerising array of fruity flavours.
    14. Hook Norton – Hooky Gold – ABV 4.1%
      1. A very pale, crisp beer, confidently displaying its hop character. The first Hook Norton beer to feature American hops. A fruity aroma and a pleasant, light taste.
    15. Weatheroak WPA – ABV 5.2%
    16. Sharps Atlantic
      1. Atlantic is a deep golden colour. The aroma of Pale Ale is a blend of stunning citrus notes, juicy tropical fruits and fresh-picked hops with a touch of candy floss. The flavour has a delicate sweetness with fruity succulence and citrus spice to the fore. The finish is sweet at first becoming dry and lingering with hop zest.
    17. Wadsworth – Horizon – ABV 4.0%
      1. Horizon is the perfect beer to be enjoyed all year round, although it is ideal for summer. Light in colour but full in flavour. Its tangy and refreshing with an ABV of 4.0%. It is a great beer for those new to ale. The golden ale is packed with 100% pale ale malt and a blend of classic and New World hops. It offers zesty, citrus and hop aromas and a crisp, tangy finish on the palate.

      1. The look is pale, golden, straw; with an intense hop aroma and crisp dry hop taste

2020 Ciders

    1. Lilley’s Cider – Cheeky Pig – ABV 7.5%
      1. A medium dry blended perry and cider packed full of crisp refreshing flavour
    2. Lilley’s Cider – Cherries & Berries – ABV 4.0%
      1. Somerset cider bursting with berry scrumptiousness. Crafted with the most sublime cherries & berries, this mouth-watering cider is sweet with a soft underlying berry flavour and bold cherry notes. Fruity, Sweet Still Cider. 
    3. Bee Sting – ABV 6.8%
      1. Still, medium sweet Perry, oozing with subtle flavours and with cult status among many of its devotees.
    4. Fanny’s Bramble – ABV 4.0%
      1. A gentle amble out of Sandford towards Shaky Bridge threads along Fanny’s Lane.In the autumn the blackberries from it’s hedges join local apples in many pies and crumbles. They pluck a few away to add to their own special recipe. We think this is a uniquely fruity and refreshing cider. Sweet, Fruity, Still Cider. Sponsored by Helen Cleaver
