Wythall Local History Society
27/09/2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The Society meets at 7.30pm in the Village Hall on the last Friday of the
month except for the summer recess in July and August , and December.
The committee was re-formed in January following a special general meeting
and a new team of members were elected to the committee.
The shared aim of our new committee members is to provide a fresh stimulus
to the activities of the Society. We endeavour to have a varied programme
which appeals to people interested in local history. Following our meetings
we have refreshments when members can discuss the evening talk and/or engage the speaker.
In June/July we have an outing to a place of local/national interest. This
summer we visited Shelsley Walsh to see the recently restored watermill, the
village, its historic church, and the village itself. (Shelsley Walsh is nationally
known for its Hill Climbing Events).
