DESCRIPTION:We have 3 events running on the 14th August 2021. You can come and enjoy an afternoon tea on the front lawn of Wythall House and we are offering 3 sittings (12pm\, 2pm and 4pm) with limited tickets for a Bean 47 Afternoon Tea with the option of a glass of prosecco instead of tea. Tickets £15.00 each. Tickets are also available online at Eventbrite (admin fee applies). \nThe event in the park is a community event that is free to all. We will have stalls\, food\, activities and the kids can even learn some circus skills. This will be running from 11am – 6pm. \nWythall House and bars are open to members and non-members. Non-members are welcome to come along for a look round and talk to committee members if you’re considering joining. \nSpend your evening listening to Live Music provided by the fabulous GlastonBeoley in the Britannia Room\, Wythall House from 7pm-11pm. Tickets £10 (plus small admin fee on eventbrite) \nParking is free all day for this event. \nWythall Community Club is supporting Wythall Community Association in his event.

SUMMARY:Wythall Local History Society
DESCRIPTION:The Society meets at 7.30pm in the Village Hall on the last Friday of the\nmonth except for the summer recess in July and August \, and December.\nThe committee was re-formed in January following a special general meeting\nand a new team of members were elected to the committee.\nThe shared aim of our new committee members is to provide a fresh stimulus\nto the activities of the Society. We endeavour to have a varied programme\nwhich appeals to people interested in local history. Following our meetings\nwe have refreshments when members can discuss the evening talk and/or engage the speaker. \nIn June/July we have an outing to a place of local/national interest. This\nsummer we visited Shelsley Walsh to see the recently restored watermill\, the\nvillage\, its historic church\, and the village itself. (Shelsley Walsh is nationally\nknown for its Hill Climbing Events). \nThe programme for 2019/20 is as follows:- \n\n\n\nSeptember 27th . “ The Murder of Mary Ashford.” (a crime which led to\nchanges in the laws of England) Speaker:- Barrie Stokes. Followed by the\nAGM\nOctober 25th . “ 101 Great British Curiosities.” Speaker. Dr Colin Harris.\nMembers will be challenged to identify the uses of a variety of artefacts on\ndisplay.\nNovember 29th . “Christmases in World War 11”. Speaker Alan Gullivar\nJanuary 31st “ The History of Kinwarton”. ( A village near Coughton)\nSpeaker: Alan Godfrey\nFebruary 28th “Off to the Workhouse”. Speaker Richard Churchley\nMarch 27th “The story of Chadwick Manor” . Speaker: George Gascoyne\nApril 24th “Mad Dogs /Maria Marten”. DESCRIPTION:SIDE EFFECTS\nThurs 4 – Sat 6 Apr\, Palace Studio\nGenre: comedy\, drama\nWythall Theatre Company in a comedy by the Bafta-winning creator of Rising Damp. Eric Chappell \nFrank Cook\, having been taken ill with a rare complaint\, has been booked into a private nursing home by his wife June for a week’s respite. Whilst there\, he encounters the Reverend Paul Latimer who is recovering from a heart transplant and whose odd behaviour is beginning to alarm his wife\, Sarah. \nThe young\, attractive Tracey might provide the answer. She is convinced that the vicar’s new heart belonged to her recently deceased lover Melvin\, a fairground wall of death rider. Could it be that Paul has taken on Melvin’s personality traits as well as his heart? That would explain the swearing\, the smoking\, the drinking and the clandestine canoodling with Tracey in the rose garden. \nThen again\, perhaps he’s just suffering from the side effects of his medication?
