Car Park Charging System
The following is the procedure for parking at Wythall Park. All details can be found on the signage in the car park.
Car Parking Procedure
The system is pay on entry using ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition)
On entry to the car park, the vehicle entry will be recorded by the ANPR camera. There will be a grace period of 15 minutes, between entry and exit points, to allow for taxi and parent/child drop off. Also to allow the driver time to park and purchase the required ticket.
To purchase the ticket at the machine, enter your vehicle registration number, or part of, until your number plate shows on the screen. You then follow the instructions on-screen. (This is not pay and display and no windscreen ticket is issued).
The time period commences at the time of purchase and the vehicle must leave the parking space by the expiry time (or any extended period). You will then have a grace period of 15 minutes to exit the car park.
SHOULD THE VEHICLE STILL BE IN THE CAR PARK AFTER THE EXPIRY OF THE GRACE PERIOD, A PCN (Parking Charge Notice) WILL BE ISSUED AUTOMATICALLY.
Once payment for parking is made at the machine, you can request a receipt if required. If you forget to do this, you can enter your registration into the machine and obtain the receipt at any time before the expiry of the purchased period.
All payments can be made by coin, credit/debit card, contactless and apple pay. No Change is given by the machine.
Payment can be made online or by phone with RingGo (Location ID 29521). Details are available on the signage, but please note, RingGo is a third party company and they add their own convenience charge. You can download the app for phone or tablet here:
Period passes will be available from the machines (Tariffs as displayed on notices)
Member’s passes will be available at discounted rates by following instructions on the machines, and when the prices are displayed entering a pin code will change the price to the discounted level , Initially, this pin code will be available from 07522 053510 (During Office Hours, Monday to Friday).
In the near future, when the software is developed, a bar code will be attached to your membership card for this purpose.
PLEASE NOTE, NO REMINDERS WILL BE SENT AS PERIOD PASSES EXPIRE.
A RECEIPT CAN BE OBTAINED ON PURCHASE, BUT PARKING AFTER THE EXPIRY DATE WILL CAUSE A PCN TO BE ISSUED AUTOMATICALLY.
If a reminder is required, this can easily be obtained by entering your registration number into the machine at any time before the permit expires.
